The Story of Within Organics
Within Organics debuted in November 2008 at the Boston Vegetarian Food Festival. Over one hundred Within garments made it in to the hands of joyful people that day, marking the beginning of an inspiring journey.
Three years and many adventures later, including events in California, Colorado and all over New England, Within Organics is quickly becoming a beloved, positive force in sustainable clothing and artful living. Within has been featured in national publications, including ELLE Magazine and Woman's Day Magazine and has fans from coast to coast and all over the world.
In the summer of 2011 Within Organics moved from the cobblestone streets of Boston, Massachusetts to the Green Mountains of Burlington, Vermont, merging edgy urban style with graceful comfort and design. The limited edition creations, screen-printed lovingly by hand in Burlington, VT, are constantly evolving, a reflection of the journey.
About Laura DeVeau Smith, Owner/Artist
My personal style is feminine, elegant, eclectic, adventurous, bohemian and exotic. Obsessions include henna, borderline gaudy costume jewelry, Spanish-lady hair flowers, fragrant body oils, super foods and meditation. Clothing is an art and we are the walking canvas. I design most of the art for the Within Organics creations and I bring some talented friends along for the ride too.
I'm an open book so you can check out my personal Tumblr blog and Facebook page and see what I'm about. I think if we share our journeys we'll remind each other that we're all human, doing our best to live artfully with some mistakes along the way. I truly hope you love Within Organics.
